AVOCO™ is an exciting hybrid company created by the two leaders in avocado exports: Primor Produce Ltd and Southern Produce Ltd.

Formerly very competitive international rivals, we have recognised that the interests of the New Zealand avocado industry and its growers are best served by a unified entity that is focused totally on getting the best returns for its loyal growers.

Growers in Southern Produce’s Team Avocado network are now working with Primor Produce’s growers in a vibrant new coalition that shares one ambition – to maximise our combined expertise to make New Zealand avocados a truly global nutritional food phenomenon.

Together as AVOCO™ we already account for the bulk of the export market for avocados to Australia, both retail and wholesale.

Given our understanding of the industry and our commitment to work alongside our ever-expanding grower network, the formation of AVOCO™ marks a real turning point for the avocado export industry in New Zealand and its ability to increase its global presence.

This move is the final piece in the marketing jigsaw that marries all markets under a collaborative model for Primor Produce and Southern Produce.
